Black Achievers Mentorship Program

Black Achievers is a signature program designed for Black youth — including African- and Caribbean-Canadians and other newcomers — in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). It provides opportunities to develop socially and academically with the support of Black professional mentors and role models.

Program Overview

The program supports Black youth in achieving academic excellence, leadership, and career development by offering mentorship, educational workshops, scholarships, networking opportunities, and more.

Key Program Components

Mentorship: Participants are paired with Black professionals or community leaders who provide academic and career guidance, support, and advice.
Workshop seminars: These sessions focus on topics like leadership development, college preparation, financial literacy, and career planning.
Scholarships: The program may offer financial assistance for higher education to participants who demonstrate academic excellence and community involvement.
Networking opportunities: Participants have access to a network of successful Black professionals and leaders who can provide valuable connections and opportunities.
Events: Participants have the opportunity to attend various sporting and community events, concerts, and cultural and heritage tours.
Recognition: The program often culminates in an awards ceremony or an event that honours the achievements of participants, celebrating their successes and contributions to the community.

Help Make Black Achievers Possible

The Black Achievers Program is entirely funded by donors — we can’t run it without your support!
Right now, there is a waitlist of Black youth in the GTA who are eager to join the program.
Your donation can help us expand and clear that waitlist.
