We have a wide range of classes to choose from including:

BodyFit

Bootcamp

In this intense circuit, you'll work through different exercises that test your strength and keep your heart rate high. You'll use equipment and body weight to get through interval-based workouts.

CycleFit

With motivating playlists to help you push through, you'll spend this class simulating hill climbs, sprints, and endurance rides on a stationary bike. Your certified instructor will coach you on adjusting your bike's tension throughout the class to make sure you're always challenging yourself. Classes labeled "Theatre" on our schedule are self-directed; participants will follow a DVD that guides them through a workout.

MuscleFit

Using a barbell and weighted plates, your certified instructor will guide you through moves designed to condition all your major muscle groups.

YMCA Arriba

This fusion of Latin, Bollywood, and belly dance moves helps you build cardiovascular endurance, but feels like a fun dance party.

YMCA TotalFit

A fitness class that combines 15 minutes of cardio, 15 minutes of total body strength and 15 minutes of floor-based exercises to strengthen the thighs, glutes and core. Donors help our charity provide financial assistance for families like Vuk's, ensuring everyone gets a chance to ignite their true potential.

Y member Vuk in the gym

After immigrating to Canada, Vuk’s family discovered the North York Y. One-on-one lessons and unwavering support from his instructor Gloria, combined with Vuk’s own inner strength and ability, eventually gave him an unshakable confidence in the water. For him, it’s about so much more than going for a swim; it’s an act of independence, a challenge he can tackle on his own.

The unfair barrier of financial struggle could have held him back. “The staff at the Y told us about financial assistance, making it possible for us to join,” says Vuk’s mother, Danijela.
