Toronto Wolfpack and YMCA Of Greater Toronto Celebrate The End Of The Season With Free 1-week Gym Passes For Game Attendees
Don’t be a lone wolf – Join the Pack at the YMCA of Greater Toronto
TORONTO, July 26, 2018– The YMCA of Greater Toronto hosts 25 professional rugby players from the Toronto Wolfpack team. During home games when the team is in Toronto, out of everywhere they could train, they choose to train at the Cooper Koo YMCA. Not only do we have great equipment, but the team appreciates the YMCA’s vision and values of inclusion, acceptance and equality.
The Wolfpack are a Toronto based Canadian professional rugby club which competes in the British Rugby Football League (RFL). They are the world’s first transatlantic professional sports team.
"The YMCA of Greater Toronto is a facility our athletes can rely on to get their preparation and recovery done,” said Reni Maitua, Rugby Operations Manager, Toronto Wolfpack. “The Y allows them to swim, run, weight train and prepare for their big games.”
“As a valued partner of ours, we are extending members of the YMCA of Greater Toronto a chance to come watch our home game on July 28, 2018 free of charge,” said Jon Pallett, Head of Marketing & Communications, Toronto Wolfpack. “We truly value the partnership and look forward to giving a number of YMCA members a first taste of our highly acclaimed game day experience.”
The Toronto Wolfpack will face off against Featherstone Rovers at 1:30 p.m. at Lamport Stadium in Liberty Village. Members who wish to attend will have received an email with a link and promo code with all the pertinent information. Tickets are available while quantities last.
Along with an exciting halftime stretch, the Y will have an interactive booth with prizes before the game begins. As part of the partnership everyone who attends the game will leave with a one-week free pass to try out their local YMCA so they too, can train like the Pack!
