Yoga for Peace: Free and open to the public
On Saturday, July 22, from 10:30-11:30 a.m., all YMCA Health & Fitness Centre's across the GTA invite you to celebrate peace by participating in a FREE Yoga for Peace class. Come stretch your peaceful muscles – and be sure to bring your family and friends, since this class is FREE and open to the public!
The tradition of yoga reminds us that peace starts with each one of us. We'll be infusing this special Saturday morning class with this important message, as our instructors help you increase your flexibility, release tension, and foster a mind-body connection.
In support of Making Peace Toronto, Yoga for Peace will be hosted at all nine health and fitness centres across the GTA. You don't need a YMCA membership to participate, but please bring your yoga mat and a piece of photo ID so we can sign you in to the building.

Making Peace Toronto 2017 Exhibition
Have you seen the #TOMakingPeace streetcar?
The YMCA is proud to support our neighbour in the Canary District, Making Peace, the largest outdoor photo exhibit of its kind. To celebrate and pay tribute to all those who devote their time, energy and resources to peace, the YMCA is hosting Yoga for Peace.
Through the Making Peace outdoor exhibition and related educational program, Torontonians are introduced to the extraordinary peace-building work of organizations and individuals.
The outdoor exhibition is free, open to the public 24/7 and located in the Canary District, right beside the Cooper Koo Family Cherry St. YMCA!
