Sonya's secret sauce for looking and feeling her best

Finding the motivation you need to get started on your fitness journey is hard enough, but it starts to feel even more overwhelming when you get lost amidst all the cleanses, fad diets, and other unhealthy tactics promising quick fixes. One of our members, Sonya, found herself struggling with a rough start, but with the help of her personal trainer, she didn’t just fall in love with fitness — she completely changed her lifestyle.

Before I started working with my personal trainer at the Mississauga YMCA, I was struggling. I couldn’t seem to make progress towards my goals — even losing a pound seemed impossible. I knew exactly how I wanted to look and feel; I just couldn’t get there, no matter what I tried.

Then I met Sajjad, who I fondly refer to as “coach.” It completely changed my life. I got so much more than nutrition tips and a workout regime. Sajjad holds me accountable to my goals every single day. He gives me the advice and encouragement I need to stay motivated. Coupled with a fitness routine that’s customized just for me, I finally had all the tools I needed to look and feel my best.

Working with a personal trainer was exactly what I needed to overhaul my lifestyle. Today, I feel more confident and fulfilled than ever. My friends and family have all noticed the change in me — not just physically, but mentally as well. Sajjad’s constant encouragement helped me love working out, but it also helped me build more self-esteem and confidence.
