Making Real-Life Connections at YMCA Camp Pine Crest
In the most recent years, these trips have conquered Canadian wilderness rivers such as the Coppermine (Northwest Territories), the Seal (Northern Manitoba), and the Moisie (Eastern Quebec). This summer, Pine Cresters will be setting afloat on the Winisk and Attiwapiskat rivers and Woodland Caribou Provincial Park, all located in Northern Ontario.
The value of Outdoor Education today is ever-growing and undisputed. Learning outside of the classroom provides children and teens with the kind of well-rounded perspective that they deserve in their education, and these extended trips deliver just that. However, you don’t have to spend seven weeks in the wilderness to disconnect with the hustle and bustle of city life — take some time every day just to breathe fresh air, listen to the sounds of nature, and get outside for a walk.
Today, there are still spaces to register in our extended flat-water trip to the Woodland Caribou Provincial Park and various other camp programs for all ages. Visit our website for details and registration options.
