We all know that old habits die hard, but it can also be tough to maintain new, healthy ones. Every year, we feel naturally inspired to get back into a fitness routine as summer comes to an end and the kids head back to school. This time around, take advantage of these YMCA resources to ensure your action plan is sustainable:



1. mYfitness®


This unique Y service was designed for those trying to get back to a healthy lifestyle after a few false starts. Included in your membership, mYfitness® helps you see healthy choices as lifelong habits – not quick fixes. Our welcoming staff get you oriented and involved in the programs that are right for you. By guiding you through a few typical visits to the gym, mYfitness® coaches help you envision the steps you'll take to accomplish your personal fitness goals.

2. Group fitness classes


Working out as part of a group helps you stay motivated. When you know your friends will be there, you feel accountable to show up to class and give it your all. Our group fitness classes are scheduled at the same time, in the same place every week, making it easy for you to incorporate exercise into your weekly routine. Check out our schedules, and plan which classes suit your needs.

3. Personal training


Our certified personal trainers can provide you with the motivation you need to stay focused on your goal. In one-on-one or small group sessions, our personal trainers guide you through a workout regime tailored to your needs. With someone always there to encourage and teach you, you're more likely to stick to your routine when it starts to feel tough.
