YMCA City Builders are philanthropic leaders who have generously given 1 million dollars or more to date to the YMCA of Greater Toronto. On June 5, 2018, we proudly honoured the PepsiCo Canada Foundation as they were inducted into our growing circle of esteemed YMCA City Builders. Partnering with us across a wide variety of our programs and services aimed at youth, the PepsiCo Canada Foundation has expressed an enduring commitment to ensuring the health and well-being of children and youth across the GTA.
As YMCA City Builders, The Foundation has long recognized the need to provide opportunities to all youth — especially those who face multiple barriers — to succeed in life. That’s why the Foundation has generously lent its support to various elements of our YMCA’s work, including support of YMCA Teen Nights™, support of our summer camps, providing scholarship opportunities to YMCA Academy students, and making possible both the refurbishment and building of YMCA Youth Zones.
The Foundation’s dedication to ensuring every young person has the chance to engage at our Y and discover their full potential — while promoting and supporting healthy habits, physical activity, and well-being — has been vital to the many lives they’ve touched. Led by the passionate advocacy of Denis Sacks, the PepsiCo Canada Foundation has been a true partner of our Y, supporting our vision across myriad programs and spaces.
