Celebrating our YMCA City Builders: Clark Family Foundation
Having successfully supported YMCA of Greater Toronto’s first privately funded Newcomer Youth Leadership Development (NYLD) group — tailored and piloted for 121 Syrian refugee-background youth in East York — Fran and Edmund Clark are increasing their extraordinary commitment. We’re pleased to announce the newly established Clark Catalyst Fund for Newcomers and Refugees at the YMCA of Greater Toronto. Through the incredible generosity of the Clark family, the Fund will grow and deepen our reach with a $2 million investment. Their gift will increase engagement through NYLD to 1,000 refugee-background young people. Tailored groups for refugee youth will triple, and 80 paid program internships will be added.
We are deeply grateful to the Clark family for giving our newest community members increased opportunities to build social networks, develop communications skills, and lead community service projects.
Thank you to our YMCA City Builders and all of our donors for your spirit of giving. Together, you are building vibrant communities where everyone can shine! To read about some of our other donors and their impact, visit ymcagta.org/Donors.
