Celebrating our YMCA City Builders: Anonymous Donors

YMCA City Builders are philanthropic leaders who have generously given 1 million dollars or more to date to the YMCA of Greater Toronto. On Thursday, October 17, 2019, we proudly honoured anonymous donors as they were inducted into our growing circle of esteemed YMCA City Builders. The YMCA is profoundly grateful for the generosity of an anonymous YMCA City Builder family who has chosen to give to the Strong Start, Great Future Capital Campaign. Their gift is in support of naming the Kingston Road YMCA Centre of Community in honour of YMCA City Builders Steve and Sally Stavro. This gift will also help in the construction of new YMCA Centres of Community across the GTA, ensuring we are able to provide more people in more communities with the proven, research-backed programs and supports they need to achieve physical, mental, and social well-being for themselves.
More than bricks and mortar, our new YMCA Centres of Community will provide young children with the best possible start in life, newcomers belonging and opportunities to integrate, youth chances to discover their full potential, and older people opportunities to overcome isolation and stay active.
