Celebrating our YMCA City Builders: Ann and Medhat Mahdy (honourary)

YMCA City Builders are philanthropic leaders who have generously given 1 million dollars or more to date to the YMCA of Greater Toronto. On April 27, 2023, we proudly honoured Ann and Medhat Mahdy as they were inducted into our growing circle of esteemed YMCA City Builders. Ann and Medhat Mahdy are a dynamic team who together have played a crucial role in advancing the YMCA of Greater Toronto’s vision of vibrant communities where everyone can shine. Meeting at the Central YMCA in the early 1980s, when she volunteered there and he was near the beginning of an almost 50-year Y career, the pair began a long relationship, not just as life partners, but as Y members, donors, volunteers, and leaders.
For decades, Ann and Medhat Mahdy have worked tirelessly to support, advocate for, and build GTA communities. It is our pleasure to recognize them as honourary YMCA City Builders.
